Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

This position is responsible for overhead budget preparation, financial reporting, variance analysis and risk mitigation planning. Assist CFO in the monthly closing process.  Analyst will be responsible for manpower planning and  validation, audits/review of all direct government contracts, financial data and financial projections.  the analyst is expected to be able to model scenarios, work with others to improve business processes and look for ways to improve ongoing automation efforts including implementation of financial systems.  This positions reports directly to the CFO.

Required Skills:

Minimum of 8-10 years related experience, Strong grasp of Financial Concepts; Account reconciliations; Variance / Gap analysis; Financial statement preparation, Forecast modeling, Ability to meet deadlines, Problem solving capabilities, Database (Access, SQL, Other) & EXCEL proficiency.

Desired Skills:

Ability to communicate, present (via MS PowerPoint), multitask and work with teams.  Knowledge of Software and Accounting tools such as Oracle, SAP, Hyperion or Cognos.  Microsoft Access, Visual Basic a plus.

Required Education (including Major):

BS in Finance/Economics or Accounting Degree with primary focus on Business Concepts, MBA strongly Preferred.
