Certification and Accreditation Engineers

Certification and Accreditation (C&A) Engineers needed to support multiple efforts involving government information systems.

Qualifications:

General systems engineering processes and procedures, networking fundamentals, common protocols, hardware components and architecture design, information security principles, authentication, confidentiality, integrity, availability and non-repudiation. Comprehensive understanding of the C&A processes supporting DITSCAP/DIACAP, NIACAP, DoDIIS, and DCID 6/3. Develop system security plans, conducting Verification Testing and Security Testing and Evaluation, and thorough understanding of the C&A life cycle. Extensive experience drafting system security documentation and interpret and apply DoD security requirements to the system being accredited. Familiarity with information assurance technologies and their operational applications. A good overall understanding of IT security is essential. Must be a CISSP. 5 + years in the IT security field, emphasis on Certification and Accreditation activities.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher is required in a related information technology field or an engineering degree in IT or electrical/electronics.

Security Clearance Required:

Candidates selected will be subject to a federal government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.


Information Assurance Engineers

IA Engineers needed to support multiple efforts involving government information systems.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience with computer/network security concepts, firewalls, vulnerability assessment, risk management, vulnerability exploitation techniques, operating systems, security software, and extensive use of security test tools. Must be capable of security requirements generation, architecture, implementation, transition plans, CONOPs, and system specifications. Successful candidates will possess a thorough understanding of security engineering principles as they relate to the Information Assurance Technical Framework as well as designing and implementing IA solutions. Translate security policy and requirements into an IA implementation plan tailored to the operational environment, mission, and application requirements. Expected to brief senior management and lead analysts on recommended mitigation strategies and will operate under strict deadlines. Must be a CISSP and or ISSEP. 5+ years of experience is required.

Education:

BS degree in Computer Science or related disciplines expected (equivalent experience will be considered). A Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.

Security Clearance Required:

Multi-Level Security Engineers

MLS Engineers needed to support multiple efforts involving government information systems.

Qualifications:

Working knowledge of general systems engineering processes and procedures, networking fundamentals including common protocols, hardware components and architecture design, information security principles including authentication, confidentiality, integrity, availability and non-repudiation. Experience and/or expertise with the following standards: TCP/IP, IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.11, X.509, and FIPS 140-2. INFOSEC, COMSEC, Cryptographic Algorithms (symmetric and public key) and Protocols, Key Management, PKI, COMPUSEC, Common Criteria, DITSCAP, Certification, Accreditation, Multi Level Security, Network Security, Guards/Firewalls. Technical background in MLS operating systems and network technologies. Mandatory access controls and labeling, least privileged tailored access, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, high-to-low security guards, and information assurance. Participate in all phases of system development and apply knowledge from a wide range of information security and engineering disciplines to develop high assurance system solutions. Work with customers, management, users, the Security Community, and project teams to define, analyze and meet customer needs. Proven leadership skills in applying systematic processes to trade studies, analysis, design, implementation, and validation activities. Experience with a broad range of network products such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, routers and switches, as well as Windows NT/2000, Linux, Trusted Solaris and Trusted IRIX is required. Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the proven ability to work effectively with internal/external customers, management, and other IT staff. CISSP with 5 years experience in communication system and/or information system design with an additional 2 years experience in secure system design including one or more areas of information security such as cryptography, key management, authentication mechanisms, multilevel networks, malicious code detection, intrusion detection, firewalls, protection policies and security assessment.

Education:

Software / Sr. Software Engineers

Software Engineers needed to support multiple efforts involving government information systems.

Qualifications:

Will design, develop, and test C++ code and Linux scripts in the implementation of multi-level secure computing systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Software Engineer: 1+ years of design & development experience. Sr. Software Engineer: 5+ years of design & development experience. Experience with C++ and Linux administration tools including network setup. At least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical area. (CS, CE, EE, BIS, MIS) Must be able to obtain a DOD security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

Object Oriented Analysis and Design. Linux internals including kernel development. Experience with VMware.

Bachelor’s degree or higher is required in a related information technology field or an engineering degree in IT or electrical/electronics.
